  Visiting friends in Clinton and decided on McKinley Tavern, First, my friend has a physical disability, their ramp is a considerable distance off to the side of the building, it was less taxing for him to climb the stairs. Once we got in and seated, we found the process of selecting something to drink a bit of a problem, out of the four draft beers they offered they only had one bock beer, decided to get a MGD and ended up withe a Miller 64, guess that's all they had. My friend ordered a Pepsi and Coke was the only thing they served, that came after we flagged down a waitress to bring it to us.I had a rib eye, med rare, tasty, but nothing to write home about, my friend had the steak and shrimp combo, his steak was suppose to be medium but was rarer than mine was. His wife ordered the Cod, It was suppose to be deep fried but came baked. The place is running on a old reputation because of what my friends told me as it was a good restaurant for Clinton.... Maybe once upon a time... not so much now. Servers and staff were friendly enough, but more attention to detail needs to be applied.

  The service is nice enough, and it's a nice, charming, smartly decorated building. But the food is simply not good, and for Clinton it's egregiously priced.
  
  The problem is that McKinley Street has fine dining pretensions but they absolutely do not deliver on them. They have, for example, a girl who walks around and offers you bread that is classily swaddled into a nice basket. Sounds classy, right? Well, that bread is Wonder Bread. I'm not kidding.
  
  Likewise, the meals are all very bland and in no way creative. Even if you're not going to take any risks with the menu you could at least season your food or do something, anything, to justify the prices you charge. A good deal of entrees seem processed or frozen, like I'm eating a chicken breast I could have bought at Sam's Club and warmed up myself. Only, when I cook for myself I add salt.
